Well….you can’t go to an antique tractor show without a painting of an old ford tractor! This one is for the Antique Tractor Show in Troutville on July 13th! from 9 am until 5 pm. Lots of food, craft and art vendors, music and fun! Hope to see you there!
Introducing “3-1-7-4”, Acrylic 16 X 20. This painting is based on a photo that was taken of our Elly (She’s number 4) when she was much younger playing girl’s softball. Elly and Josey have always played and they are both quite good! When I first saw this photograph, I knew it would make a great painting! I hope I’ve done it justice and that everyone (including the parents of these girls) will like it!
This is a new one titled “Pecking Order”. I read when you have 3 or more roosters they establish a “pecking order” among themselves. My Granny Cale had a lot of chickens and some roosters. The one on the right reminds me of one she had that was really mean. I hope you enjoy this one!
As we enter fall season, we begin to see Mums on everyone’s porch. When I lived in Augusta County, it was common to see an old dog and a rocking chair there, as well. I love this one, because it reminds me of simpler days….. when all we had to do was sit on the porch and rock! Now, I guess we would be checking social media…lol!
Beaver Dam Farm will be holding their annual Sunflower Festival September 1st and 2nd and September 8th and 9th on Wheatland Road, Buchanan, VA. Hearing this on the news a few days ago, prompted me to paint "Sunflowers". This is an acrylic painting, 16 X 20. I hope you like it! I'll have it on display at Ole Salem Days on Saturday, September 8th in Salem, VA.
